Open tool

Purpose and workflow fit

What this tool does: Use Preview to quickly open creative files before trafficking. It supports HTML ZIP bundles, standalone HTML files, static images, GIFs, and common video formats.

When to use it: Use it during creative QA to confirm that an ad renders, check its detected dimensions, verify the file type, inspect likely source tooling, and test click behavior when the creative includes a clickTag or embedded exit URL.

Upload and queue behavior

Upload area: Drag files onto the upload area or click to browse local files. Multiple creatives can be uploaded at once, and the first selected creative opens automatically.

Creative queue: Uploaded files appear as selectable chips. Click a chip to switch preview, or use the X button on a chip to remove that creative from the queue.

Drop on preview: You can also drag files directly onto the preview window to add them to the queue without going back to the upload area.

Preview controls and specs

Fit and 100%: Fit scales the creative down so it fits inside the preview window. 100% shows the creative at its detected pixel size.

Light and Dark: Switch the preview background to check transparency, dark creative edges, light creative edges, or assets that blend into one background color.

Detected specs: The status row shows detected size, creative type, source tool where detectable, file path, captured click count, and current zoom mode.

Source tool detection: For HTML and ZIP creatives, the tool scans markup and asset paths for signatures from Google Web Designer, Adobe Animate, Adobe Edge Animate, Tumult Hype, Bannerflow, Celtra, Flashtalking, Sizmek, Google Studio / Enabler, and GSAP.

Full screen: Open the creative in a larger preview workspace while keeping the same zoom and background controls available.

Click and redirect tracking

Click testing: Click the creative preview to capture attempted redirects or click events. This works when the creative has a clickTag, anchor exit, window.open call, Enabler exit, or similar embedded click behavior.

Static image limitation: Simple image ads usually cannot be click-tested here because the final URL is added later in the ad server, not embedded inside the image file.

Redirect report: Captured click events appear in the Redirect Tracking panel with timestamp, event type, and URL when the creative provides one.
