What this tool does: This mode embeds Google's HTML5 Video Suite Inspector inside AdOps.cloud, so you can test VAST tag URLs or raw VAST XML from the Fix & QA workspace.
When to use it: Use it when you need to confirm whether a VAST tag resolves, whether an ad attempts to play, and what creatives, companions, errors, events, and tracking behavior Google's IMA workflow detects.
Inspector embed: The main area embeds Google's inspector directly in the page so you can paste a VAST tag or XML and run the test without leaving the site.
Open in new tab: Opens Google's inspector separately. Use this if the embedded view is blocked, fails to load correctly, or needs more space.
Mode switching: The VAST Validator is part of Fix & QA, so you can quickly switch to macro, clickTag, tracker, or URL cleanup modes without leaving the workflow.
Ad blockers: Ad blockers can prevent the test player, event logging, or tracking requests from behaving normally, so disable them when a test page appears blank or incomplete.
Embed behavior: If Google changes the inspector or blocks embedding later, the wrapper may stop rendering properly. In that case, the open-in-new-tab fallback is the reliable option.
Validation scope: This mode validates through Google's existing inspector. It is useful for practical playback and event testing, but it is not a custom VAST parser with AdOps.cloud-specific validation rules.
